Day 1-2
Arrive Auckland International Airport. I personally meet all my clients, regardless of time or day of arrival and then deliver you to your 5 star accommodation in central Auckland, New Zealands largest city. After settling you in we leave you to relax and unwind or enjoy one of the many activities we can recommend. The rest of the first day, and the next full day are yours to relax and unwind, and activities are only limited by your energy levels. Simon is available 24/7 to assist you with anything you may need and/or to help you plan your first few days
Day 3-6
Simon arrives bright and early and uplifts you from your hotel where we then travel by car north of Auckland for 3 hours to the internationally renowned scenic and fishing destination of Paihia in the Bay of Islands. We check into our luxury waterfront accommodation and spend the rest of the first day sightseeing and relaxing. That evening you have a choice of local restaurants. The next day we are picked up from our hotel and spend the day fishing for a huge list of different species by boat,– see our species page for details on season availability of species we fish and hunt for and what you can expect to catch. We return again to our hotel for dinner and festivities. The next day we again spend fishing and on the water. Diving is also available, as Simon is also a qualified PADI Instructor. There are several fantastic shipwrecks in the area in addition to opportunities for hunting crayfish and seasonal shellfish. That evening is again spent in luxury accommodation. Day 6 after a leisurely start we travel back to Auckland and again deliver you to your hotel to spend your evening and night as you wish.
Day 7-11
A mid morning start see’s us at Auckland Airport, this time our destination is Queenstown, New Zealands adventure capital based at the bottom of the South Island. We are met at the Airport and are transported to our luxury lodge accommodation high in the Southern Alps. That evening is spent enjoying local wines and produce and the next day we spend free range hunting for a variety of species of Deer. That evening we again spend in our luxury lodge. The next morning we are delivered back to Queenstown township, and our afternoon is spent on Lake Wakatipu fishing by boat for Rainbow and Brown trout, against the backdrop of the scenic Southern Alps Mountain ranges. Make sure you view our optional activities page for information and links to the many extras that are available whilst in Queenstown. That night is again dinner and fun back in Queenstown. To break up the trip, our last full day in Queenstown is sightseeing, shopping, and your choice of either a bungee jump or Jet boat ride in the Shotover Jets up the world famous Shotover river which is included in your tour price. Our 4th, and last night in Queenstown is spent as you wish – from quietly at your hotel, to enjoying one of the many restaurants and bars the town has to offer.
Day 12
Fly from Queenstown to Wellington, New Zealands capital city at the bottom of the North Island. The afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy the many activites on offer. Simon as always, is available to assist you. Accommodation is 5 star and in the central city.
Day 13-16
Fly from Wellington to Lake Taupo in the central North Island and transfer to our private charter light aeroplane or helicopter to transfer into the exclusive Tangahoe Station hunting area ( see our Google map ) , a privately owned, private access only farm, completely isolated and based in the rugged and scenic Whanganui National Park. Nestled on the farm is a comfortable hunting lodge, complete with all comforts. The area boasts large numbers of Fallow and Red Deer with many trophies having come from this area. See our gallery for more photos from this area and the lodge itself. There are also large numbers of wild pigs and goats for variety. The next 3 nights are spent at this wilderness retreat enjoying hunting at your own pace. Enjoy a leisurely hunt for a couple of hours every day, or hunt until you can’t walk anymore, we are ready for anything. Clay bird shooting is also available. All shot animals are butchered and packaged for you. See our google map to see just how remote and wild this area is. Access is helicopter or plane only – unless you want a 4 day walk!!!! Again, this choice of area is part of our efforts to obtain only the best genuine areas for our clients to hunt and stay. All meals are provided and are of top quality and genuine Kiwi cuisine. On the last day we are picked up, again by plane or chopper, and flown back to Taupo. We are then picked up by vehicle and drive back to Auckland where you are delivered to accommodation for your last night of the holiday.
Day 17
After sad farewells, we deliver you to Auckland International Airport for your flight home.
