Warm greetings, my name is Simon Freeman, and myself and my wife Katya are the owners of Fish and Hunt NZ Limited.

Having established a successful Investigation Company which I continue to own, I decided it was time to take a different tact and combine my love and experience of the outdoors and show others the joy of fishing and hunting in paradise. What started as an excuse to get more fishing and hunting time past the wife ( ‘doing research for the business Honey’ ), soon turned into a professional and popular business.

A hare’s breath away from my 40^th year, I have been hunting and fishing the length of NZ since I could walk, and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share, in addition to a lifetimes worth of jokes and campfire stories.

We enjoy living in a beautiful executive home on the edge of the Manukau Harbour in Auckland , New Zealands largest city. We offer accommodation in our home as one of the many package options – feel free to inquire about this option.

Having traveled extensively on a variety of budgets, we know what clients expect, and love treating our guests as we ourselves like to be treated.

I gain so much satisfaction from watching clients enjoying themselves regardless of their experience or abilities. Yes, the potential trophy on the wall at the end of the trip lasts a lifetime, but more important for us is that the fond memory that went with your experience lasts a lifetime as well.

Our tours are not off the shelf tours, in fact, they are the complete opposite. If we had the luxury of choosing a reputation, it would be for providing foreign clients with ‘real’ Kiwi experiences – personalized for you. You might get your boots wet crossing rivers, you might get bitten by sandflies, you might even have to carry your kill or even bait your own hook, BUT you will have one of the greatest experiences of your life – a genuine experience. Our fishing and hunting trips are about the experience, not simply the kill or the catch, which is what sets us apart from ‘plastic’ tours. What we are about is custom tours, based on a variety of packages, but then tailored to suit you, and your ‘wish list’. Why compromise part of your holiday doing something you don’t want to when you don’t have too? Whilst looking after our clients every need, we believe in not ‘baby sitting’ our clients, but getting them actively involved in all parts of the catch and hunt, and most importantly making their experience a real one, not a plastic one. Rest assured though, your enjoyment and safety is our main aim – we want you to come again!

We don’t ‘insulate’ our clients as we believe this takes away what we are trying to achieve – a genuine experience. We prefer to hunt free range animals and fish. We also aren’t about pumping through huge numbers of visitors and heavily pressuring our hand picked fishing and hunting areas.  The areas we choose to fish and hunt have taken years of local knowledge and contacts to accumulate, and are to be respected and managed to ensure all clients receive great action.
