Terms and conditions

We ask that you take the time to carefully read the following terms and conditions. We welcome the opportunity for further questions, should you require clarification, or further explanation of the following.

To confirm a booking with Fish & Hunt NZ Limited (FHNZ) a deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. Until such time that the said deposit is received FHNZ is unable to confirm any travel.

  1. As part of the booking, and confirmation process, clients will receive a booking slip by email, that is to be completed and faxed back to FHNZ. Clients will be required to sign an original booking form upon arrival.
  2. That in booking your holiday, clients confirm that they are over the age of 18 years. All clients under 18 years if age must provide written consent by parent or guardian.
  3. FHNZ does not accept clients under the age of 16 years, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian
  4. In the event that clients wish to book a silver medal or gold medal stag, then a deposit must also be paid to the value of 50% of the trophy sought.
  5. All travel deposits are to be made by way of electronic transfer to a bank account nominated by FHNZ.
  6. Balance of payment must be received within 24 hours of arrival in NZ
  7. Payment must be received in NZD or travelers cheques.
  8. Until such time that full payment is received, final confirmation and receipt of payment in full will not be given.
  9. All quoted prices include all current NZ goods and services tax.
  10. A full receipt for both deposit and balance of monies will be provided by FHNZ to the client immediately upon clearance.
  11. In the event of cancellation of your trip after the payment of deposit, FHNZ reserves the right to make the following deduction.
    • Cancellation 90+ days of travel - 50% of deposit
    • Cancellation 60 + days of travel - 75% of deposit
    • Cancellation within 60 days of travel - no refund
  1. Bookings may however be transferred to a different date subject to availability of the requested dates. In this case, a transfer fee of 25% of the original deposit(s) will apply, subject to the request for transfer being made no later than 30 days of date of original travel. We are unable to transfer bookings within 30 days of travel. All transfer requests are based on availability of FHNZ and availability of chosen destinations. FHNZ provides no guarantee for transfer requests.
  2. That whilst FHNZ will take reasonable steps to ensure completion of all activities, FHNZ will not be held responsible for any cost associated with any delay or cancellation outside of its control, including, but not limited too, weather and transport providers.
  3. The client acknowledges that the nature of packages offered by FHNZ have the possibility of being entirely, or partially affected by adverse weather.
  4. In the event of an activity being cancelled due to weather, FHNZ will provide refund to the value of that particular activity.
  5. In the event of an activity being cancelled after commencement of that activity, no refund will apply.
  6. That all expenses not detailed in the package description, or final written booking confirmation, are the responsibility of the client.
  7. That whilst FHNZ carries full liability insurance, independent travel and medical insurance is the responsibility of the client.
  8. That FHNZ will take the very best of care of all clients thought the entirety of their package with FHNZ. FHNZ however will not be held responsible in any way for any loss, damage, or injury that the client may suffer whilst on a package from FHNZ.
  9. That in the event that the client either damages or loses any items supplied by FHNZ during their holiday, the client will make payment for such damage or loss immediately upon request from FHNZ. Failure to pay for any such damage or loss to FHNZ by the client will result the contract between parties becoming null and void. In this case no refund would apply. An example of this would be the unlikely event that you dropped a fishing rod overboard whilst fishing!
  10. That the client indemnifies FHNZ of any injury loss or expense
  11. That FHNZ will provide written guarantee to supply services at time of booking
  12. That FHNZ will not be held responsible for any travel arrangements to and fro from NZ
  13. That the responsibility of care for FHNZ commences upon your arrival in NZ\, and finishes at the completion of your tour
  14. That the client will disclose to FHNZ any and all relevant health and dietary/individual personal requirements at the time of booking. This may include fitness levels, medication requirements, dietary considerations etc.
  15. That the client will obey all laws of New Zealand whilst on any tour with FHNZ
